Teo Castellanos is an actor/writer/director who works in theater, film and television. His award winning solo NE 2nd Avenue toured extensively for a decade and won the Fringe First Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Scotland, 2003).  His most recent solo, Third Trinity, was directed by Oscar winner and MacArthur Genius, Tarell Alvin McCraney......






Teo's career has its foundation in devised theater, creating solo works as well as ensemble works with his company, D-Projects. He is currently artistic director of the Combat Hippies.

AMAL is a spoken word/theater piece that delves into the impact of war on both combatants and noncombatants as people of color.

For over 20 years, Teo has mentored and trained emerging artists in theater and spoken word. His pioneering work with young artists has had a lasting impression on arts development in South Florida.
